Quebec asks more of an outdoor kitchen than any of our other northern markets: a long, hard freeze, road salt in the air near any street, and a short season that owners want to use fully. Everything hinges on water not sitting anywhere when the temperature drops. Sealed doors and drawers with integrated drainage, marine-grade aluminium that does not corrode at the fixings, and 304 stainless hardware are what make a run that reopens each spring in the condition it was closed in.
The Montreal triplex is a specific delivery problem: an exterior staircase, a tight interior turn at the top, and often no lift. Cabinetry for those units is sized to be carried up that stair, and where a piece cannot be, it is built to assemble in the room.
Winters here are long and heated interiors get genuinely dry, then summers are humid. That annual swing is wider than most markets and it is the reason solid timber has to be detailed to move rather than fixed rigid.
Older buildings have out-of-square rooms, sloped floors and services in awkward places. Everything is templated on site.

Outdoor cabinetry is a materials problem before it is a design one. Sun, rain, humidity and — near any coast — salt will destroy an indoor cabinet finished for an indoor life. We build outdoor kitchens in marine-grade aluminium with 304 stainless hardware, sealed doors and drawers, and integrated drainage, because that is what survives.
Twice as thick as most stainless cabinetry on the market and lighter, which also makes it easier to deliver and install.
Door slides, hinges, pulls and levelling legs are all outdoor grade, because the hardware fails long before the box does.
Doors and drawers are sealed with integrated drainage, so water that gets in has somewhere to go.
