What makes one work

The screen sits flush, not proud. A recess the depth of the bracket plus the screen means the wall reads as a wall.
Cables are run before the boards go on. Power, HDMI and network to the recess, and a drop to wherever the sources live.
Ventilation for anything in a closed cabinet. An amp behind a solid door needs an air path or it throttles.
The fire is a separate trade. A linear fire sets the clearances, so its specification comes before the joinery drawing.
Lighting in the niches, on its own circuit. The wall is the room's focal point in the evening, not just in daylight.
