Wolf is the cooking half of the same house as Sub-Zero, and it drives more cabinetry decisions than any other appliance in the kitchen. A rangetop and a range are different builds. A wall oven stack changes a whole tall run. Ventilation decides where the ducting goes, which decides what is possible above the hob.
Appliances come first, and most people do it the other way round. Every cutout, clearance, ducting run and panel thickness on a kitchen drawing is derived from the appliances in it. Pick the cabinetry first and the appliances later, and something gets redrawn — usually the part you liked most. We ask for the appliance list at the first consultation for exactly this reason.
Cutouts, clearances and ventilation get drawn first. Choosing the cooking suite late is the single most common cause of a kitchen being redrawn.
A range brings its own oven and sits between cabinets. A rangetop drops into a run and frees the space beneath for drawers, with the ovens moved into a tall stack.
Hood, insert, downdraft or ceiling — each has different ducting and different cabinetry above the hob.
