Terrazzo Island Apartment

Terrazzo is the whole scheme, used at two scales — a large aggregate on the island, a finer one in the bathrooms — so the apartment holds together without anything matching exactly.

The island is compact and does everything: preparation, seating, and the only storage on that side of the room.

White cabinetry and a pale floor keep a small plan feeling open, and the tall run is kept to one wall so the rest can breathe.
