Ink & Emerald Residence

The kitchen is a single black monolith — an island with no visible joint, a run of tall units that reads as a wall, and brass pendants as the only interruption. Everything is handleless, and the appliances are behind panels, so there is nothing on the surface to catch the eye.

The bedroom does the opposite. A full wall of emerald green fitted wardrobes, lit from above, with a recessed television and a library ladder on a black rail. It is the one room in the house that is a colour, and it works because everywhere else is not.

Between the two, the living space keeps to concrete, charcoal stone and a grey-and-blush palette, with a dark stone media wall and a black home office built into the same run.
