The media unit is the piece: a long white run with fretwork panel doors that ventilate the equipment behind them without a visible grille. It is a traditional detail solving a modern problem.
Above it the wall is left plain, and the stair beside it is open with timber treads, so the run has room to be seen.
The bedrooms are blush and panelled, the bathrooms are patterned tile, and the kitchen is deliberately plain white shaker to hold the middle.
