Brass-framed glass uppers over a stone worktop, set against exposed brick, with green velvet in the living space.

Glass-fronted upper cabinets in a brass frame are a jeweller's detail applied to a kitchen — thin sections, mitred corners, and glass that has to be cut to a tolerance that ordinary cabinetry never demands.
They sit against exposed brick, which is deliberately the roughest surface in the room. The contrast is the point.
Below, a heavy stone worktop and plain dark bases keep the eye up at the glazed cabinets rather than down at the run.
