The ceiling is boarded and vaulted, so nothing tall could be square-topped — the dresser and the tall storage are both scribed to the rake, which is slow work and the reason the room looks like it was always there.
The dresser is sage-painted with open shelving above and drawers below, freestanding in appearance and fixed in fact.
The oak double vanity is the one modern piece, and it is kept simple so it does not argue with the rest.
