In shadow it passes for black; under a lamp the violet surfaces. Midnight Purple is built for enclosed rooms rather than open ones — a media room, the casework in a wine cellar, a windowless powder room where the walls are already dark. ZENIT and ZENIT ECO make it velvety and light-absorbing, which is where the colour is most convincing. LUXE goes the other way entirely, into lacquered depth on a feature wall.
