LUXE is usually about flawlessness; here it is poured over a distressed, gold-shot brown and the effect is closer to lacquered antique metal than to a solid colour. Light travels across it and picks up the mottling underneath, which means it changes through the day. Use it in small doses — a bar front, a powder-room vanity, one wall of a dining room panelled floor to ceiling.
