Linear grain, warm brown, with the darker cast of thermally treated timber and none of the wandering cathedral figure of a plain-sawn board. Orientation is a decision to make at drawing stage: run it vertically and a tall bank gains height, run it horizontally and an island stretches. SYNCRON puts the emboss on the lines themselves, so the ridges land where the eye expects. Italian in feel, and best on long, disciplined elevations.
