The top rail of a tall closet is dead storage for anyone under six feet. A clothes lift pulls the rail down and forward on a damped arm, which turns the highest part of the closet into the part you use for the current season.
We fit this hardware ourselves, into cabinetry we built for it. That is the difference between a mechanism that works on day one and one that still works in ten years.
